Pastor Glen Stahlecker will officiate with burial in the Union Cemetery at Spencer. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Spencer. Goldie died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Good Samaritan Society in Woodriver, Nebraska. Goldie M. (Hambek) Olin, daughter of Anton and Anna (Scheinost) Hambek, was born December 20, 1917 at Red Owl, South Dakota. She attended Spencer Public School in Spencer, Nebraska. On December 5, 1941, she was united in marriage to Mandus Olin in Omaha, Nebraska. Four children were born to this union: Karen, Robert, Jane and Jim. Goldie was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, sewing, playing cards and scrabble. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, and a past member of Eastern Star Women's Club, and Lutheran Women. She was involved in 4-H for many years. Goldie also sang in the church choir for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Widhalm of Spencer, NE; Jane (Dennis) Wagoner of Wood River, NE; sons, Bob (Leatha) Olin of Winton, CA, and Jim Olin of Woodriver, NE; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter; brother, Tommie Boska of Spencer, NE; sister, Irene Stringfellow of Spencer, NE; sister-in-laws, Libia Hambek of Verdigre, NE and Bette Boska of Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mandus; one grandson, Patrick Wagoner; parents; sisters, Ethel Soukup, Helen Krupicka and Millie Long; brothers, Wm. Hambek, Ramon Boska.
