Maxine was born October 14, 1925 in the Union Township of Putnam County, Missouri, the daughter of Hiram E. and Blanche Mae(Ross)Farris. She graduated from Cincinnati High School in 1943. On August 25, 1945, Maxine married James Calvin Fowler in Troy, Kansas. James preceded her in death in July of 2010. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Patricia(Patty)Ann Fowler of Cincinnati, Iowa; granddaughters, Kathy(Rod)Perry, Nancy Buban, Melissa(Mark)Syferd, and Alice(Cody)Heidenwith; great grandchildren, Erin, Robbie, Alicia, Tanner, Taturn, Tabby, Trevor, Calvin, and Zach; great, great grandchildren, Chase and Anna. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great grandson Joshua; sister Geneva; brothers Eldon, Keith, Jack, Jerry, and Neil Farris. Funeral services will be held 10 am, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery, west of Cincinnati. A visitation will be held from 12-7 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present from 5-7 pm that evening. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Mercy Hospice of Centerville.
