Description	:	"Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," August 16, 1963: Mrs. Goldie V. Brown, 79, of 1814 W. Main, died suddenly at 8 p.m. Thursday at her home. Death was due to natural causes, according to Wapello County Medical Examiner Dr. Warren DeKraay. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Songer and was born in Davis County May 18, 1884. She had been a resident of Ottumwa most of her life and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Her marriage to Edwin Lee Brown took place in Ottumwa in 1910. He preceded her... Death was due to natural causes, according to Wapello County Medical Examiner Dr. Warren DeKraay. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Songer and was born in Davis County May 18, 1884. She had been a resident of Ottumwa most of her life and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Her marriage to Edwin Lee Brown took place in Ottumwa in 1910. He preceded her in death March 17, 1939. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Grace Wright of Lowell, Mich.; four sons, Elmer Brown of Troy, Mich., and Gerald, Lawrence and Tate Brown of Ottumwa; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were two sons, David and Clifford, three brothers and three sisters. The service will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, in charge of the Rev. C.S. Whitehouse of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
