| Description | : | Gordon K. Doane, age 86, died Aug. 10 at the Madison Avenue Retirement Center. He was born Jan. 17, 1916 in Almira, to Oscar and Eva Doane. He graduated from Almira High School in 1933 and attended two years at Washington State University. He took a job as a concrete engineer on the Grand Coulee Dam project. While at Coulee Dam he married Dorothy (Jerrich) Doane in 1939. He worked at Bangor and Keyport and was the supervising engineer for the Alaska ferry terminals that stretch from Ketchikan to Skagway.
