Description	:	Gordon Lee Neal, 79, of rural Grand Island, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Bazille Mills Cemetery. Gordon was born August 19, 1938, in western Knox County, the son of DeLemman “Pappy” and Theresa (Peterson) Neal. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Bazille Mills Cemetery. Gordon was born August 19, 1938, in western Knox County, the son of DeLemman “Pappy” and Theresa (Peterson) Neal. When he was very young his family moved to Creighton, where Gordon attended school, graduating in 1956. When he was old enough to drive, he drove the school buses and worked alongside his father and brother in the bus business. Gordon married Alice Floydean Nielsen on December 4, 1959 in Creighton. They moved to Norfolk and Gordon managed Sportland Cycle store and was later employed with Kinning and Reil. He then moved to Grand Island and worked for McElroy Heating and Air. Gordon especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandson, auctions and having coffee with friends. He loved living in the country where he could keep his horses. Survivors include, his children and their spouses, Troy Neal of Doniphan, Greg and Kathy Neal of Grand Island, and Jill and Tom O’Neill of Grand Island; five beloved grandchildren, Stacy (Alex) Koehler, Tyler Neal, Chelsey Williams, Eric O’Neill and Allison O’Neill; a great-grandson, Konrad Koehler, and his 28 year-old rescue horse, Diablo. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Elwin Neal and Norman Neal.
