She had recently undergone an operation at St. Paul where she resided and had returned to her home when she suffered a relapse. She was then taken to Grand Island but her condition was such that medical science could not stay the hand of death. Grace Amelia Baker was born in Albion, September 5th, 1888, and died at Grand Island, January 29th, 1926, aged 37 years, 4 months and 24 days. She lived with her parents in Albion until January 19, 1919, when she was united in marriage to Albert F. Jacobs. They moved to St. Paul (Howard Co., Neb.) August 20, 1919, where she has since resided. She united with the Methodist church when a girl. Her father departed this life October 6, 1915. She leaves to mourn, her husband, Albert F. Jacobs, her mother, Margaret Baker, Albion, three sisters and three brothers, Arthur Baker, Albion; Mrs. Mary Whistler, Pine Bluffs, Wyoming; Frank Baker, Fremont; Mrs. Ethel Copple, Albion; Lorna B. Baker, Albion; George Baker, Albion and other relatives. The body was brought to Albion and the funeral held from the home of the mother, in this city, Monday afternoon, February 1st, at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Charles Gomon.
