Grace Ann passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Colonial Haven Nursing Home in Beemer, NE. Grace Ann Wordekemper was born on August 29, 1935 at Wisner, NE to Frank and Magdalena (Putgenter) Grothe. Grace Ann received her sacraments at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. Grace Ann graduated from Wisner High School and prior to her marriage was a school teacher at Cuming Co. Rural School District #39 outside of Wisner, NE. On November 7, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert Wordekemper at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. Along with her husband, they owned Bob’s Market in Beemer for 32 years. Grace Ann was a parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer and belonged to its Altar Society. Survivors include- Husband-Robert Wordekemper of Beemer, NE Son-Dan and wife Dawn Wordekemper of Chadron, NE and their sons- Nicholas and Zachary Wordekemper Daughter-Sarah and husband A.J. Eschwig of Lakewood, CO Grandson-Nathan Bull of Ft. Collins, CO and his mother Sandy Baack of Wayne, NE Grace Ann was preceded in death by her parents-Frank and Magdalena Grothe, her sister Lenora Brogan and brother-in-law John Brogan.
