She attended grade school at Washington No. 8 and graduated from Corning high school in May of 19__. She attended grade school at Washington No. 8 and graduated from Corning high school in May of 19__. She spent her entire life in Adams county, with the exception of the past 4 months she was employed by Hawkeye Security Insurance Company of Omaha, Nebraska. Besides her mother and father, she leaves to mourn her passing, two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Romine of Scribner, Nebraska and Mrs. Marilyn Harder of Omaha, Nebraska and one brother Chester at home, two brothers-in-law, Dale Romine and Rolland Harder. Also her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Kingery of Corning, and Mrs. Nellie Bixler of Mt. Etna, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was baptized into the Church of Brethren at Mt. Etna by Rev. L. A. Walker and remained a faithful member. She will be greatly missed by all of her relatives and friends and small children which she dearly loved to be with. She enjoyed helping in Bible school and doing neighborly acts. She especially loved to work out-of-doors. She will always be remembered by her parents and family for her cheerful and friendly smile. Services were held Wednesday, January 4, 1961 at 2 p.m. from the Church of the Brethren in Mt. Etna, Iowa, with Rev. Leonard Lutz and Rev. Stanley Evans officiating. Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rogers and Mrs. Stanley Evans. Pallbearers were Jim Botkin, Gary Botkin, Delmar Chafa, Gary Anderson, Francis Kingery, and Donald Chafa. Ushers were Warren Johnston and Russell Ramsey. Interment was in Mt. Etna cemetery.
