Description	:	On April 30th, 2017, Grace (Betty) Beeghly went home to be with the Lord. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Terrace Heights. Her son, Mike Beeghly, his wife, Dianne, and daughter Barbara were by her side. Betty was born October 14th, 1926 to William Heron and Catherine (Heron) Dunnett in Yakima. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Terrace Heights. Her son, Mike Beeghly, his wife, Dianne, and daughter Barbara were by her side. Betty was born October 14th, 1926 to William Heron and Catherine (Heron) Dunnett in Yakima. She attended school in Cowiche. As a teenage girl she helped her dad milk cows and drive cattle in the Rimrock area. Betty spent many nights at the cattle camp with her dad and the other cowhands. She was a real life cowgirl. Betty found her true calling in life when she became a nurse and worked at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital for many years. She specialized in eye surgery for most of that time. After retiring in 1984, she began working at Lake Aspen Eye Center admitting patients. Betty was highly respected by her colleagues not only for her devotion to her profession, but also for displaying a strong work ethic and command of the skills to do her job and do it well. On May 29th, 1946 Betty married her true love of her life and childhood sweetheart, Ed Beeghly. Betty and Ed raised two children, Barbara Milosevich and Mike Beeghly, both of Yakima. Betty and Ed lived in Yakima from 1946 to 1972 when they moved to Moxee to raise sheep. Betty’s nursing skills were put to good use whenever a newborn lamb needed help surviving, whether it meant keeping the lamb warm in front of the fire or bottle feeding. If a momma sheep was having a difficult time giving birth, Betty was there in a flash ready to bring that newborn into the world safely. She even enjoyed giving tours to classes of school children during lambing season. A few years later Ed and his son Mike developed the property into a mobile home park known as East Valley Mobile Ranch. The family owned business was built from the ground up. Betty and Ed loved nothing more than to head to the mountains in their fifth wheel or travel trailer just spending time together camping, fishing, or playing cards was their greatest joy. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ed, just a month and a half before their 66th wedding anniversary. Betty was also preceded in death by her brother, John Heron of Yakima, sisters Wilma Treece of Buena and Anne Stillwaugh of Tieton. Betty is survived by her daughter, Barbara Milosevich, her son, Mike Beeghly (Dianne), two granddaughters, Tracy Oldham (Chris), and Renn Beeghly, triplet grandsons Michael, Ryan, and Joey Milosevich, four great grandchildren, Riley Beeghly, Casey Oldham, Chase Oldham, and Zaven Milosevich. Also, she is survived by her two sisters, Barbara Brien (Kip) and Nancy Olson, sister-in-law Ardath Heron and brother-in-law John Stillwaugh. Mom, you were a bright light in our lives that will never grow dim. Our love and devotion is yours forever. We love you and will miss you so much. Viewing will be Thursday, May 4th, 2017 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Rainier Memorial Center in Terrace Heights on Friday, May 5th, 2017 at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers you may donate in Betty’s name to the charity of your choice.
