Description	:	Grace C. Scaletta, 100, of Cumberland, passed away April 15, 2021. Born in Cumberland on September 19, 1920, to Silvio and Adelina (Carpenti) Franciosi, Grace was the second of seven children. She was the last remaining member of the Franciosi family. Grace was a 1938 graduate of Catholic Girls Central High School and on July 11, 1941 she married Gene Scaletta. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Michael (Joan), Pat Wilt (Carroll), Toby (Kristy), Tim (Jeanne) and Rick (Ellen). Born in Cumberland on September 19, 1920, to Silvio and Adelina (Carpenti) Franciosi, Grace was the second of seven children. She was the last remaining member of the Franciosi family. Grace was a 1938 graduate of Catholic Girls Central High School and on July 11, 1941 she married Gene Scaletta. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Michael (Joan), Pat Wilt (Carroll), Toby (Kristy), Tim (Jeanne) and Rick (Ellen). In addition to her children, Grace has 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her cousin Norma Shatzer and sister-in-law Doris Franciosi. Gracie, as she was affectionately known, had a tremendous work ethic, officially retiring at age 90. She worked many years for the Frank McCagh family and the Walsh-McCagh Pharmacy. Grace was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, serving as a member of the parish council and as a Eucharistic minister. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services will be private. A celebration of Grace's life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff, nurses and all the wonderful employees of Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation for the excellent care given to Gracie
