Description	:	Grace Jane Kennedy was born at Watseka, Illinois, January 1, 1868 and passed away Tuesday, March 2, at the age of 80 years, 2 months and one day. She spent the years of her youth in Illinois where she was graduated from the local high school. After her graduation she devoted several years to teaching. In 1894 she was united in marriage with Sidney M. Wilson. To this union three children were born, Roy, May and True. Soon after their marriage the Wilsons moved to Boone county and settled on a farm west of Albion. ... Read More	Grace Jane Kennedy was born at Watseka, Illinois, January 1, 1868 and passed away Tuesday, March 2, at the age of 80 years, 2 months and one day. She spent the years of her youth in Illinois where she was graduated from the local high school. After her graduation she devoted several years to teaching. In 1894 she was united in marriage with Sidney M. Wilson. To this union three children were born, Roy, May and True. Soon after their marriage the Wilsons moved to Boone county and settled on a farm west of Albion. Mr. Wilson's interest, however was in photography so after a few years of farming he moved to Cedar Rapids where he opened a studio. From Cedar Rapids the family came to Albion in 1915 and the departed has made this her home ever since. Mr. Wilson departed this life in 1938. Since then the departed has been living with her son Roy in their home on Marengo Street. Her declining days were particularly saddened when her daughter May passed away in January 1946 and in April of the same year her son True also was taken from this life. In recent months her health declined rapidly. Her son Roy cared for her very faithfully but finally last Tuesday her Creator called her home. She is survived by one son, Roy and by eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Herse Funeral home Friday, March 5, at two o'clock with Rev. John Beckmann officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Attending the services from out of town were a son-in-law John Daniels from Sidney and a granddaughter Mrs. Bud Reynolds of Chicago.
