Her funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 5 at Wildflower Presbyterian Church, Sioux Falls, with burial at Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Grace Lee Hamilton, daughter of Robert and Roberta (Stevens) Hamilton, was born February 14, 1921 in Sioux Falls, SD. Upon the death of her parents, she and her brother, Robert, lived with their loving grandparents, David and Jennie Stephens. She received her education in New York, where she studied art design, and had many of her art/poetry works published in the New York Sunday Mirror. Upon returning to Sioux Falls, she met and married the love of her life, George Jorgensen on August 28, 1937 in Canton, SD. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls. They were blessed with four children, Steven, Danny, Sammy and Georgia. Grace enjoyed being with her beloved husband of 64 years, their children and families, and her many bowling friends. She was a member of the 600 bowling club. Grateful for having shared her life are four children, Steven Jorgensen, Arlington, WA, Danny Jorgensen and his wife, Susan, Renner, SD, Sammy Jorgensen, Sioux Falls, SD, Georgia Hayes and her husband, Larry, Sioux Falls, SD; six grandchildren, Danell Bowling and her husband, David, Jody Jorgensen and his wife, Jenni, Dr. Matthew Hayes and his wife, Dr. Meredith, David Hayes and his wife, Holly, Stephanie Seeds and her husband, William, Sarah Hahn and her husband, Kacey; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Stacie, Scott, Skylar, Cyrus, Grace, Haakon; her loving caregiver, Jan VanSickler, Sioux Falls, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, George, on December 26, 2001; a granddaughter, Shannon Jorgensen; her parents; a brother, Robert Hamilton; and a daughter-in-law, Lorrie Jorgensen.
