Description	:	Grace Satterlee was born July 24, 1921 in Brule County, Richland Township, to Michael and Elizabeth (Kutilek) Holan, she attended country schools and graduated from Chamberlain High School. On December 17, 1939, Grace was united in marriage to Vincent S. Satterlee at Kimball, SD. She lived and farmed near Chamberlain until 1946 when they moved to a farm between White Lake and Kimball. Five children were born to this union. Vincent passed away in 1987 and Grace moved to Mitchell in 1989. Read More	Grace Satterlee was born July 24, 1921 in Brule County, Richland Township, to Michael and Elizabeth (Kutilek) Holan, she attended country schools and graduated from Chamberlain High School. On December 17, 1939, Grace was united in marriage to Vincent S. Satterlee at Kimball, SD. She lived and farmed near Chamberlain until 1946 when they moved to a farm between White Lake and Kimball. Five children were born to this union. Vincent passed away in 1987 and Grace moved to Mitchell in 1989. Throughout her lifetime, between raising children and farming, she worked for many years in Chamberlain, Kimball, and Mitchell as a waitress and a cook. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Mitchell for over 20 years. Grace passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the age of 90 years at the Hospice House in Rapid City, SD. She is survived by five children Vincent and wife Gloria of Rapid City, Richard and wife Marge of Layton, UT, Peggy Curl and husband Steve of Libby, MT, Wayne and wife Brenda of Mitchell, and Sonja Crowley and husband Maurice of Rapid City; 12 grandchildren: Mike Satterlee, Ladonna Anderson, Dawn Mickelson, Tonya Varca all of AZ, Greg Satterlee of UT, Richelle of Florida, Holly Fortier of Mitchell, Dave Satterlee of Miller, SD, Heidi Barnhouse of White Lake, SD, Darrin Wait of Harrisburg, SD, Jeramy Satterlee of Rapid City, and Joshua Satterlee of Vermillion, SD. She is also survived by six step grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers Frank, Leonard, and Lawrence, her sister Lillian, and her husband Vincent in 1987. Funeral services for Grace Satterlee, 90, of Mitchell, SD will be Friday, October 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain with burial in the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain.
