Description	:	Services for Grace L. Cox were held Tuesday, May 15 at Watts Funeral Home, Montezuma. Mrs. Cox was born December 22, 1890 near Union Mills and passed away May 12 at the Montezuma Senior Home at the age of 93. She attended rural schools in Mahaska and Poweshiek Counties. On November 20, 1907 she was united in marriage to R. A. Cox at Oskaloosa. Most of their life was spent in the Montezuma area, with the exception of several years in Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Cox was born December 22, 1890 near Union Mills and passed away May 12 at the Montezuma Senior Home at the age of 93. She attended rural schools in Mahaska and Poweshiek Counties. On November 20, 1907 she was united in marriage to R. A. Cox at Oskaloosa. Most of their life was spent in the Montezuma area, with the exception of several years in Cedar Rapids. After her husband's death in 1946 she moved to Montezuma where she worked in the school kitchen and telephone office until retirement. She was a 60 year member of the Vashti Rebekah Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star, Lafayette Lodge 232. She was also a member of the Order of the Railway Conductor's Auxiliary and the Montezuma Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Winifred Ewing of Malcom and Mrs. E. M. (Maxine) Ammann of Montezuma; two daughters-in-law; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons; one son-in-law; three sisters; three brothers. Officiating at the service was Rev. Martin Gruneich. Casket bearers were Roger Cox, Russell Cox, Dwayne A. Reed, Carl E. Ewing, Richard Gregory, James L. Smothers. Interment was at the Masonic - IOOF Cemetery, Montezuma.
