Grace grew to womanhood in the Warrensburg area and attended schools there. She was united in marriage to Glen Rogers on Dec.27,1919 at Kansas City, MO. They made their home in Jennings until 1925 where she was principal of the Jennings High School from 1918-1920. They taught in the Hays area where both attended college and graduated with their bachelor and master's degrees in education. In 1932 they moved to Alaska and in 1942 moved to Seattle where they had since made their home. She was a 50 year member of the OES and had been an active worker for various women's organizations, the Red Cross, library boards and charity organizations. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wm. F. (Claudia) Hunt of Bellevue,WA; Mrs. Allen (Glenda) Ahearn of Longview,WA; seven grandchildren; three gr grandchildren; other relatived and friends. Memorial services were conducted Monday, March 28,1977 at 1 p.m. by the Order of Eastern Star at the Jennings Masonic Hall. Family graveside services were conducted by Dr.Jame B. Hunt at the Jennnings Cemetery. Arrangments were by Bainter-Enfield-Eckhart Funeral Home, Jennings, Kansas.
