Description	:	Grace Marie Swan passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Gillette, Wyoming with her daughter at her side. She was born Wednesday January 25, 1939 in Lewistown, Montana to James and Bessie Fairbairn Allison. She was raised and educated in Lewistown and on August 25, 1958 she was united in marriage to Melvin S. Swan. Together they made their home in Butte where Melvin worked as a carpenter. She was born Wednesday January 25, 1939 in Lewistown, Montana to James and Bessie Fairbairn Allison. She was raised and educated in Lewistown and on August 25, 1958 she was united in marriage to Melvin S. Swan. Together they made their home in Butte where Melvin worked as a carpenter. Melvin preceded her in death on June 15, 2011 as well as three grandchildren Tyrell, Matt, and Brandi, and two Brother-in-laws Farrel Parker, and Jim Manion. Survivors include her son, Melvin Lee Swan and his partner, Michelle Abraham of Las Vegas, son, Dempsey Ray Swan and his wife Jenny of Woodinville, Washington, daughter, Debora Marie Swan of Gillette, Wyoming and son, Stephen J. Swan and his wife Corrine of Townsend. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Lacey Swan, Nathan Swan, Lexie Swan, Ryan Floyd, Cody Swan, Krystan Swan and eight great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister, Fannie Parker of Lewistown and her sister, Alma Rose, of Butte as well as several nieces and nephews. Grace was highly active for 19 years faithfully doing weekly ministry at the women's prison through the clown ministry at IC Church. Cremation has taken place in Gillette. Interment of ashes will take place in Fort Harrison Veteran's Cemetery in Helena. Published in The Montana Standard, Butte, MT on Wednesday, November 24, 2021
