She was the widow of the late Rev A A Couser, pastor in several Evangelical United Brethren churches in Iowa and a conference superintendent of the Iowa Conference of the EUB church from 1916 until his death in 1928. She was the widow of the late Rev A A Couser, pastor in several Evangelical United Brethren churches in Iowa and a conference superintendent of the Iowa Conference of the EUB church from 1916 until his death in 1928. She was born Grace May Craft, March 4, 1880, in Sycamore, Illinois. Mrs Couser and her husband were both reared at Zearing. She was married to the Rev A A Couser about 1902. He served pastorates in Des Moines , Cedar Rapids and Center Point, in addition to his assignment as a conference superintendent. Mrs Couser was a member of the EUB church. She is survived by a son, C W Couser of Ft Smith, Arkansas, a sister, Mrs Lena Allen and a brother, Bert Craft, both of Zearing. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zearing in the EUB church. The body is at the Brandt Funeral Home in Oelwein. Mrs Couser had been at the Western Home since November 12, 1954.
