Description	:	EARLVILLE, Iowa - Grace Nieman, 87, of Waukesha, Wis., formerly of Earlville, died Tuesday July 18, 2000, at the Linden Grove Nursing Home, Waukesha, after a lengthy illness. She was born May 15, 1913, in Delhi, daughter of Thomas H. and Hilda P. (Jakelin) Simons. She married Walter H. Nieman on Feb. 28, 1934, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Earlville. Read More	EARLVILLE, Iowa - Grace Nieman, 87, of Waukesha, Wis., formerly of Earlville, died Tuesday July 18, 2000, at the Linden Grove Nursing Home, Waukesha, after a lengthy illness. She was born May 15, 1913, in Delhi, daughter of Thomas H. and Hilda P. (Jakelin) Simons. She married Walter H. Nieman on Feb. 28, 1934, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Earlville. They made their home in the Earlville area and moved into Earlville in 1967. Mr. Nieman died on Feb. 17, 1986 She graduated from Delhi High School in 1931. In 1994, Grace moved to Waukesha where she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Earlville and active in the women's group. Her family was an important part of her life and she also enjoyed crafts and handwork. Surviving are a daughter, Helen Sue (Eugene) Kaiser, of New Berlin, Wis.; two grandchildren, Stephanie Sue Kaiser, of West Allis, Wis., and Terrence Kaiser, of New Berlin; and three sisters, Hilda Jones and Mary McElmeel, of Cedar Rapids, and Jane (Charles) Mautino, of Clinton, Mo. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Simons; and four sisters, Margaret Stramer, Dorothy Gentz, Edna Peterman and Alice Keith. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Earlville United Parish with the Rev. Jean Rabary and Rev. Ed Nieman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on today at the Clifton Funeral Home, Earlville and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
