A native of Blacksburg, she was the widow of Dean Pittman and was born in Cherokee County to the late Louise Darr. Mrs. Darr was a retired screen printer from the print plant in Smyrna. Read More	Grace Sue Darr (Died January 16, 2009) BLACKSBURG - Grace Sue Darr, 74, of 170 River Hill Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday night, Jan. 16, 2009, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. A native of Blacksburg, she was the widow of Dean Pittman and was born in Cherokee County to the late Louise Darr. Mrs. Darr was a retired screen printer from the print plant in Smyrna. Surviving are a daughter, Sarah Coggins of Ivey Grove Residential in Gaffney; a son, Jimmy Dellinger of Blacksburg; and two grandchildren, Michelle Coggins of Gaffney and Malissa Coggins of Greenville. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Darr, and two sisters, Ruby White and Polly Dover. Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m. in Shuford Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel at Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Revs. Eric Nixon and Roger Ham. Visitation will be from 11:30-12:45 p.m. in the funeral home chapel prior to the services. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
