Description	:	Probably Freeman Journal, July 1933 Following an illness of about seven months, with carcinoma of the stomach, Mrs. Harm Denekas passed away at her home, Saturday evening, July 14 [1933] at 7:30 o'clock. The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the German Presbyterian Church, the Rev. H. F. Sinning officiating. Interment was in the German Presbyterian cemetery. Six nephews of the deceased served as pall bearers: Arent [Arend] Ubben, Joe Klaver, Robert Denekas, Phillip Klaver Jr., George Grensberg and Henry Kloosterbuer [Klosterbuer). Grace Ubben Denekas, a daughter of Walter and Grace Ubben, was born in Tichelwarf, Germany, October 14, 1875. She came to America in 1883, living at Austinville, Iowa, for a short time, then moving to a farm east of Kamrar, and living in this community ever since. She has lived on the home farm thirty-two years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Harm Denekas, near Kamrar, August 19, 1896, and twelve children were born to them, one passing away in infancy. The husband and eleven children survive. They are: Tillie Olson, Walter Denekas, Robert Denekas, of Jewell, Grace Coffman, of Ames, Deana Freyberger, of Montgomery, Indiana, Jennie, Martin, Edith, Maria, Edna, and Leo, all living at home. There are also two brothers and four sisters surviving: Ben Ubben, of Williams, Edward Ubben of LaMore, N. Dak., Mrs. Phillip Klaver, Kamrar, Mrs. B. Grensberg, Willow Lake, South Dakota, Mrs. Harry Kloosterbuer [Klosterbuer], Mrs. Rudolph Kloosterbuer [Klosterbuer], both of Ellsworth, Minn. There are also ten grandchildren. Mrs. Denekas was a member of the German Presbyterian church. At the time of her death she was 58 years and 9 months old. The sincerest sympathy is extended the bereaved relatives in their loss.
