Mrs. Wood was a floral and wedding designer and was owner of Grace’s Flower Shop. She also formerly worked for Daniel’s Den of Flowers, Bookshelf and Hartzog’s. She was a former member of the Cherokee County Gladioli Society and was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church. ~ She is survived by two sons, Harold Wood and wife, Mary Brenda Wood, of Gaffney, and Billy Wood, also of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Cathy O’Kobrick and husband, Frank, of Wake Forest, N.C., Lisa Sanders and husband, Rhett, of Murrells Inlet, Scott Wood of Myrtle Beach, Brent Wood Christoph and husband,Tony, of Gaffney and Beth Wood Lecroy of Myrtle Beach; and nine great-grandchildren, Ashley Christoph, BreAnn Christoph, Blake Lecroy, all of Gaffney, Krista Lecroy, Kristina Lecroy and Alex Lecroy of Rockingham, N.C., Zoe O’Kobrick of Wake Forest and Peyton Sanders of Murrells Inlet. ~ The family will receive friends from 5-6:45 p.m. Saturday in the new fellowship hall of Grassy Pond Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 7 p.m. in the church cemetery, conducted by Dr. Roger Aycock and the Rev. Scott Wachter. ~ Memorials may be mad to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, S.C. 29342; or to Grassy Pond Road, Gaffney, S.C. 29341. ~ The family is at the home of Harold and Mary Brenda Wood, 501 East Buford St. ~ An online guest register is available at www.blakelyfuneralhome.com. ~ Arrangements by Blakely Funeral Home.
