Description	:	West Columbia - Services for Mrs. Grace F. Byrd, 95, will be held 11am Wednesday, December 7, 2005, in Faith Lutheran Church, officiated by Reverend Tommy Lineberger. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm this (Tuesday) evening in Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Born in Wake County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Nita Davis Womble. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and was retired from J.C. Penney. Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her former husband George Fairhart, Sr., and her son George Fairhart, Jr. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Jean Fairhart; four grandchildren, Linda Brock, Mary Jean Neeley, Carol Berenbrok, and David Fairhart; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Mrs. Byrd was widowed by her second husband John Ira Byrd. She is survived by her step-children, John I. Byrd, Jr., Kaye Helstowski, and Joel W. "Billy" Byrd; step-grandson, Marcus Helstowski, step-granddaughter, Laura Bagnal; and three step-great grandchildren.
