Description	:	AFTON - Grafton V. Truslow, 72, of Rt. 2, Afton, died Monday morning (Aug. 13) at his residence. He was born April 9, 1918, in Nelson Co., a son of Elma Austin and Lillie Bowling Truslow. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Rockfish Presbyterian Church. He operated Truslow's Grocery in Greenfield for several years. He was an avid farmer, cattleman, hunter and fisherman. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Rockfish Presbyterian Church. He operated Truslow's Grocery in Greenfield for several years. He was an avid farmer, cattleman, hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christy Dodd Truslow, on Oct. 31, 1981; three sisters, Mrs. W.B. (Margie) Harris, Mrs. John (Lorine) Truslow and Mrs. Walker (Althea) Harris; and two brothers, Forest Truslow and Owen Truslow. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Paul and Linda Truslow of Afton, Donnie and Kathy Truslow of Greenfield and Calvin Truslow, at home; a special friend Miss Karen Sherfield of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Miss Monica Truslow, Johnathan Truslow, Duane Truslow and Alan Truslow, all of Afton; two sisters, Mrs. Cloudy Truslow of Crimora and Mrs. Dave (Warnetta) Padgett of Mineral; four brothers, Arthur A. Truslow Sr. of Nellysford, Henry Hartwell Truslow of Fishersville, Howe D. Truslow Sr. of Lyndhurst and Howell D. Truslow Sr. of Stuarts Draft. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Beech Grove Christian Church by the Revs. David Taylor, Tandy Taylor and Ray Coffey, with burial in the church cemetery. Stuarts Draft VFW Post 9339 will conduct military rites at the graveside. Active pallbearers will be members of Stuarts Draft VFW Post 9339. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny W. Falls, John Harvey Falls, Carl McGann, Charlie Taylor, Buddy Thacker, John Huffman, Roger Smith and Jack Saunders. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 1002 E. Jefferson St., Charlottesville, Va. 22901. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home. Grafton and Christie were married in Nelson County on December 24, 1942.
