Description	:	Grant was the son of Morris Marion Booton and Della A Hornback, one of six children. Grant married Goldie M Pierson on 11 May 1917. Goldie was the daughter of Nora Pierson and Daisy Wilson. Grant and Goldie had no children. After their marriage they lived in Pottawattamie, Fremont, and Page County, Iowa. Grant died at his home in Shenandoah at the age of 69 years 11 months 10 days. NOTE: Grant's parents and siblings used the spelling of Booton. Grant's headstone spelled Booten. OBITUARY Sidney Argus-Herald GRANT BOOTON, 69, RITES JANUARY 4 Services for Grant Booton were held January 4 at the Crawford Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Gerald Rogers. Pallbearers were nephews Russell Thompson, Everett Booton, Paul Carter, James Whipple, Kenneth Pierson and Tom Johnson. Caring for the flowers were Mesdames Paul Carter, James Whipple and Everett Booton. Music was furnished by Mrs. Charles Polk at the organ and Mrs. Theron Orr, soloist. Mrs. Donald Simpson had charge of the memory book. Burial was in the Sidney Cemetery. Grant Marion Booton, son of Morris and Della Booton, was born at Council Bluffs, Iowa, on January 22, 1898, and passed away at his home in Shenandoah, Iowa, on January 2, 1968, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 10 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survivors are his wie, Goldie Booton, and three sisters, Mrs. Daisy McGuire, Mrs. Iva Costello and Mrs. Emma Thompson, all of Omaha, Nebraska. He had lived his entire life in Fremont and Page counties.
