G. Twombley yielded to that reaper death, and on January 19, 1907, passed peacefully from earth to heaven, age one year and thirteen days. After an illness of only two weeks duration, Grant Ulysses Twombley, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. U. G. Twombley yielded to that reaper death, and on January 19, 1907, passed peacefully from earth to heaven, age one year and thirteen days. Every thing was done to relieve his suffering and if possible restore him to health that a loving father, mother and friends could do, all to no avail. He was such a bright, sweet lovely child the favorite of everyone, the flower of the family, the companion of his three brothers and one sister, the hope of his father and mother who mourn his departure. It seems hard to give up one so tender, so pure, so lovely, but after all we are commanded. "Suffer little children to come unto me for of such is the kingdom of Heaven." The funeral services were held at the home at 10:30 on January 21st, conducted by Rev Hawthorn, pastor of the M E. church, assisted by Rev. Edwards of Osceola. The remains were followed to the Lacelle cemetery by a large number of relatives and sympathizing friends who morn his death. "There's a picture on the mantel Of a face as pure as snow. And those eyes look down upon me As they did sometime ago, And the cheeks are round and rosy, And his lips I loved to kiss Seem to speak to me so plainly Of a better land than this."
