Description	:	Gregory "Greg" A. Hobbs, 68, passed away in Toledo, Ohio on Friday, March 8, 2019 after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. Greg was born in Hartland and raised in Pittsfield, Maine a state he dearly loved. His parents, Paul T. and Olivia Nelta (Danielson) Hobbs preceded him in death. Greg enjoyed many outdoor activities. In his youth he enjoyed fishing at Moose Pond and hunting with his Dad, along with skiing, golfing. His parents, Paul T. and Olivia Nelta (Danielson) Hobbs preceded him in death. Greg enjoyed many outdoor activities. Greg graduated from H.S. at Maine Central Institute 1969 and college at Maine Maritime Academy in 1973. After graduation he began his career with The American Steamship Company in Toledo, Ohio. Where he met and married his wife of 27 years, Roberta Ott-Hobbs. A career that expanded 40 years retiring in 2012. Greg is survived by his daughter, Anna (Travis) Blahnik, his sons, Joshua Hobbs, and Benjamin (Brie) Hobbs, his four grandchildren, Ava, Adi, Emi, and Beau; his sisters, Pamela (Gary) Meservey of Pittsfield, Maine, and Judith (Tom) Webster, of Magnolia, Massachusetts, very special nieces and nephews and his ex wife Roberta Ott - Hobbs. Along with his family, who will miss him very much, are his best buddies from Maine who he shared many happy times all through his life, David Varney, Mac Cianchette, and Jim Maynard. In following Greg's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial in his honor will be in held in Pittsfield, Maine later this year where he will be laid to rest next to his parents.
