Description	:	Gregory Davis Edge, born March 13, 1956, passed away Monday, July 22 at his home in Lake Wateree after battling lung cancer. Gregg, a Navy veteran, was surrounded by his family and beloved yellow labrador, Maelee, when he met his Lord and Savior, Jesus. Gregg spent over 30 years of his life working in the used car business, buying and selling automobiles. During that time, he owned and operated Edge Motors in Statesville, NC and trained his employee, Luis Londono, to take over the business. Read More	Gregory Davis Edge, born March 13, 1956, passed away Monday, July 22 at his home in Lake Wateree after battling lung cancer. Gregg, a Navy veteran, was surrounded by his family and beloved yellow labrador, Maelee, when he met his Lord and Savior, Jesus. Gregg spent over 30 years of his life working in the used car business, buying and selling automobiles. During that time, he owned and operated Edge Motors in Statesville, NC and trained his employee, Luis Londono, to take over the business. Over the years, Luis became more than an employee and more like a son. Gregg was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he loved nothing more than spending his time on the lake catching crappie. A grillmaster among family and friends, he was known for grilling the best steak you've ever had. Gregg will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the community of DeKalb Baptist Church. Gregg is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate, Tina Marie Faircloth Edge and his baby girl, Maelee; father, Davis Wilson "Dave" Edge of Conway, SC; brother Davis Wilson "Dale" Edge Jr. and spouse Melody Turner Edge of Conway, SC; sister Tammy Edge Motley and spouse Robert Frederick "Rob" Motley Jr. of Lexington, SC; niece Shelley Lynn Fiddner, spouse Scott David Fiddner, and daughter Isabella Lynn Fiddner of Charleston, SC; niece Sarah Edge Rogers and spouse Kenneth Alexander Rogers of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephew Robert Frederick "Hampton" Motley III, spouse Deborah Maureen Motley, and daughter Margaret Maisy Motley of Johns Island, SC; nephew William Robert Motley, spouse Brittany Carr Motley, and daughter Eden Lee Motley of Johns Island, SC; nephew Robert Edge Motley of Lexington, SC; niece Eliza Dell Edge of Conway, SC; nephew Robert Davis Motley of Lexington, SC. Gregg was preceded in death by his mother, Brittie Lee Lewis Edge; grandparents Hubert and Maggie Edge, William and Eliza Lews, and James and Maelyn Faircloth. Services for Mr. Gregory Edge, 63, of Lake Wateree, SC will be Thursday, July 25 at 11:00 AM at Brown Swamp United Methodist Church in Conway, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery The Goldfinch Funeral Home Published in The Sun News on July 25, 2019
