OBITUARY: Greg Hain Gregory John Hain, the son of Bohumil and Henrietta (Kobza) hain, was born at David City, Nebraska, on March 20, 1956, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 14, 1996, following a bout with cancer, at the age of 40 years, 7 months, and 24 days. He grew up in Aurora, and graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1974. Following graduation he began working for Olson International as a mechanic. For the past 17 years he was employed at Stan Allen Motors in Aurora as a Certified Service Technician, was Certified ASE and General Motors, was a Certified Chevrolet, Pontiac, and Buick Technician, and had received several awards through the years. Greg was a member of Aurora St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was active in local athletics, and enjoyed driving he jeep with the “River Rats”. He was active member of the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department, and served on the Hamilton County Ambulance Crew as an Emergency Medical Technician. He enjoyed a close association in working with several area farmers. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his parents, Bohumil and Henrietta Hain of Aurora; 3 brothers, Robert and his wife Mori of Chula Vista, California, Dan and his wife JoAnn of Aurora, and Ken and his wife Peggy of Lincoln; 2 sisters, Kathy Launer and her husband Tom of Lincoln, and Donna Cronin and her husband Jerry of Kenosha, Wisconsin, a step-daughter Nikki Abbott of Lincoln, and nieces and nephews.
