Description	:	Gwelma Adele, eldest daughter of Walter H and Pearl R Ladage, was born in Waverly, Iowa, May 23, 1908. She was taken with a very serious attack of fever and for four weeks made a brave struggle against great odds for her life. She seemed to mend for a time, but the wasted form did not have sufficient strength to overcome the complications that erupt so subtly upon her, causing her to pass to the bosom of her Savior about one o'clock on Friday morning, February 9, 1912. Thus she was permitted to bless the home of her... Read More	Gwelma Adele, eldest daughter of Walter H and Pearl R Ladage, was born in Waverly, Iowa, May 23, 1908. She was taken with a very serious attack of fever and for four weeks made a brave struggle against great odds for her life. She seemed to mend for a time, but the wasted form did not have sufficient strength to overcome the complications that erupt so subtly upon her, causing her to pass to the bosom of her Savior about one o'clock on Friday morning, February 9, 1912. Thus she was permitted to bless the home of her parents and grandparents for three years, eight and one-half months. Little Gwelma was a child much beyond her years in her questionings, and in her understanding of those many things that interested those much older. She was baptized June 26, 1908, and was a member of the cradle roll in the Methodist church until more recently she became a member of the Beginners' class in Sunday school. She was a most interested questioner concerning Him of whom it was said, "He will gather the lambs in His arms and carry them in His bosom." The funeral services were conducted at the present residence on East Bremer Aveue, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, by the Rev L D Stubbs. Mrs Dickinson, Mrs Holt, Mrs Lynn Osincup, and Mrs Window sung very tenderly, "Jesus, Lover of my Soul," "Jewels," and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." The pastor spoke in regarding the words of the Savior, "Suffer little children to come unto Me." The rooms were packed with sympathizing friends and the floral offerings were beautiful and abundant. The little form was laid to rest in Harlington cemetery. The bereaved truly have the sympathy of many parents hearts.
