Description	:	The date of birth that I entered for Gulielma was figured from her age at death. The WPA readings showed the date of death as September 24, 1872, in their readings, and I realize that the day does look like the 24th in the picture. However, when we cleaned Gulielma's stone, we found that surface markings in the marble make it appear to be 24, when it is, in fact, 21. In a previous reading of the cemetery done by Miles and Helen Bacon in 1971, they also noted that the correct day was the 21st. Gulielma Hoover married David Cobler on January 19, 1860, in Wapello County, Iowa. Gulielma's name is spelled Gulema C. Hoover in the on-line marriage record. The link to Gulielma's parents was provided on October 17, 2015, by findagrave member Russ Nixon. I had often wondered if there was a connection between Mahlon and Rachel (Dimmitt) Hoover, but I had never been able to prove it. I did find Mahlon and Rachel's daughter Julia E. Hoover, age 9, living with them in the Wapello County Census of 1850, and also in the 1856 Census, at the age of 14. Recently, I have found several ladies from that era named Gulielma who went by the name of Julia.
