Description	:	Gurney was the oldest of six children born to Walter Lawrence and Louisa Jane (Hayes) Craven. He married (1) Carrie Atress Lackey in 1911 and they had four children: Mary, William Walter, Thomas Worth and James Garland. CRAVEN RAMSEUR, Nov. 2, - Gurney L. Craven, 49, of Franklinville, died early today at Barnes-Griffin Clinic, Asheboro, following a decline in health of a year. He was a native of Randolph county and had spent all of his life in the Cedar Falls and Franklinville section. For the past 12 years he had been connected with the firm of Foster and Caveness, Greensboro wholesale grocers, as salesman for this section. He was a member of Cedar Falls Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Ethel Grey; three daughters, Misses Opal Lee, Virginia and Rebecca, all of the home; two sons, Worth, of Siler City, and Monroe of the home; five brothers. J. R., Virgil, Raymond, and Russell all of Cedar Falls, four half-brothers and a half sister. Funeral will be Held at Franklinville Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
