Born in Elberton, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Garrison and Gussie McCall Dutton and was a homemaker. Surviving are three sons, Joe Kenneth Gaines of Gilbert, Jerry R. Gaines of Clinton, and James R. Gaines of Whitmire; three daughters, Geraldine Wofford, Garthalon Earl, and Lynn Wilson, all of Laurens; two brothers, Maxie Dutton of Anderson, and Herbert Dutton of Atlanta; four sisters, Garrisie Gault of Anderson, Dorothy King of Lavonia, Ga., Pheobe Maxwell... Ms. Gaines was predeceased by a son, Vernon W. Gaines, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Davidson Street Baptist Church in Clinton conducted by the Rev. Kenny Moore with burial following at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County, P.O.
