Gusta died on March 4, 1905 AD from blood poisoning caused by birth complications at home in Eldsvold, Bottineau County, North Dakota, United States of America at age 38 years, 10 months, and 23 days old. Her obituary in the Courant newspaper in Bottineau, Bottineau County, North Dakota, United States of America, dated March 8, 1905, read as follows: Mrs. L. J. Glomsett The beloved wife of L. J. Glomsett, a well known and respected farmer living nine miles northwest of here, died on Saturday night from blood poisoning caused by complications arising out of childbirth. Deceased was born in Norway and was thirty nine years old at the time of her death. She leaves eight children, two boys and six girls, the eldest of whom is fourteen years old and the youngest a week old infant. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon from the home to the Turtle Mountain Lutheran cemetery. It was a very large Funeral, there being more than fifty teams in the procession which followed the remains to the burial grounds. Rev. K. O. Raltshol performed the funeral services. The Courant joins with those who sympathize with the husband and motherless children, who mourn the loss of one whose place can not be filled. Gusta was buried in what is known today as Turtle Mountain Lutheran Cemetery in Carbury, Bottineau County, North Dakota, United States of America.
