Read More	Husband of Former Wray Girl Dies Word was received in Wray last week of the death of G. G. Patrick at Stockton, California. Mr. Patrick married Miss Cora Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Smith of west of town. They were married about a year ago in Denver and went on to the coast where they had since lived. The remains of the deceased were brought here for burial, and interment was made in the Grandview cemetery. Mr. Patrick was a stranger to the people here, but the bereaved wife has lived her entire life in this community with the exception of the last two years. Her many friends extend their sympathy to her in her bereavement. The following from one of the local papers of Stockton, California, gives a detailed account of the automobile accident in which Mr. Patrick lost his life. "G. G. Patrick, an employee at the Hotel Stockton for the past three months, was killed shortly after six o'clock last evening in an automobile accident on the Lower Sacramento road near the Five Mile house. "Patrick and Lalor were riding in the latter's American runabout when one of the tires blew out. "Lalor was driving the machine and was unable to hold the auto to the road.. The machine went into a ditch filled with water. Lalor fell clear of the machine which turned completely over pinning Patrick under it. The running board fell across his breast and the back of the seat across his neck. He was thus pinned down and, being helpless, was drowned in the foot of water in the ditch. One of the legs was broken and the body slightly disfigured in the accident. "Coroner E. C. Wallace took charge of the remains and then made an examination of the automobile and the tracts (sic) it leading to the place where it turned over in the foot of water. He stated that the right rear tire blew out and the machine swerved for several feet when it struck a mail box, causing it to skid sideways for a distance of over thirty-five feet. The tracks showed that the machine skidded into the ditch, plowed through the mud and water for almost twenty feet and then turned over. "G. G. Patrick was born June 1, 1881 and met death March 31, 1914. He leaves a widow to mourn her loss. "The remains were taken by Mrs. Patrick to Wray, Colorado, her former home, for burial."
