Description	:	Hopkinton Leader - - Guy Wilson was born in Irvintown, County Fermenaugh, Ireland, April 21, 1848. With his parents six brothers and one sister he came to America in 1868 and settled in Delaware county, which continued to be his home until the time of his death. Ten children were born of the union, six sons and four daughters,... Read More	Hopkinton Leader - - Guy Wilson was born in Irvintown, County Fermenaugh, Ireland, April 21, 1848. With his parents six brothers and one sister he came to America in 1868 and settled in Delaware county, which continued to be his home until the time of his death. He had been ill for a year prior to his death and during the last months was a constant sufferer. He died July 6 at one p.m. Mr. Wilson was married October 19, 1876, to Mary Ann Ratcliff. Ten children were born of the union, six sons and four daughters, all of whom are living but one son and one daughter. He leaves a loving wife and children, a grandson, six brothers and one sister to mourn his loss. All but the sister were privileged to be in attendance during his last illness. Mr. Wilson followed farming and was successful in acquiring a considerable compotency. Among his neighbors he was known as a kind neighbor and he was universally and widely appreciated for many good qualities of mind and heart. The funeral was held from the Buck Creek church Friday forenoon of last week and was attended by a very large concourse of relatives and friends. Interment was made in the Buck Creek cemetery, Rev. W. E. Ross of the M.E.Church preached a very inspiring sermon, paying tribute to the memory of one who had been highly thought of in the community for so many years.
