Description	:	Hallie Mae Stoskopf, daughter of George and Ida Stoskopf, was born May 31, 1894, at Decorah, Iowa, and passed away April 5, 1958, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 5 days. While a small baby, she was baptized in the German Lutheran church. At an early age, she moved with her parents to Barton County, Kansas. She grew to womanhood in Barton County and became a member of the Friends Methodist Church at Beaver, Kansas. She attended church until her health failed. Read More	Hallie Mae Stoskopf, daughter of George and Ida Stoskopf, was born May 31, 1894, at Decorah, Iowa, and passed away April 5, 1958, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 5 days. While a small baby, she was baptized in the German Lutheran church. At an early age, she moved with her parents to Barton County, Kansas. She grew to womanhood in Barton County and became a member of the Friends Methodist Church at Beaver, Kansas. She attended church until her health failed. On August 17, 1911, at Claflin, Kansas, Hallie and John Phillip Charles were united in marriage. With the exception of a few years, most of her life was spent in Barton and Ness counties. To this union were born six children: Mrs. Dorothy Hosman of Bushton, Mrs. Ruby Snodgrass of Ransom, Mrs. Jessie Haug of Arnold, Mrs. Darlene Benton of Hulbert, Okla., and Mrs. Glenda Bauer of Dighton; and Keith Charles of Ness City, where Hallie for the past several years has made her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one great-grandson and her husband, who passed away June 7, 1944. She is survived by her six children, 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. In 1935 Hallie was stricken with diabetes. Since that time she bravely fought for better health and always had time to care for, and help her family. On April 4, she entered the hospital at Great Bend; there she gave up her earthly struggle to enter that heavenly home. Funeral services were held from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City on Tuesday afternoon, April 8, conducted by Rev. Robert Simison. Interment was in the Ransom Cemetery. Ness Co.
