The following is a contribution from findagrave member 47262149 Pierce County Call; Pierce, Nebraska; 27 September 1895 Hannah Malissa Green, beloved wife of John A. Green, departed this life Monday evening, Sept. 22d. At 7 o’clock, after a long and painful illness. The deceased’s maiden name was Wilson and was born in Clarion county, Pennsylvania, June 30, 1840, being aged 55 years, 2 months and 22 days at time of her death. When 15 years of age she moved to Delaware county, Iowa, with her parents and at the age of 17 years she united with the Freewill Baptist church, being a faithful and conscientious christian thenceforth. August 1st 1858, at the age of 18 years, she was united in marriage with John A. Green. Nine children was the result of this union. During the war she was left at home for four long weary years to take care of the little girl that had come to their home, while the husband and father went to the front to fight for his country’s flag. She was a loving wife and a kind and true mother, loved and respected by all. Funeral services were held at the M.
