Emery includes information on his wife, Ida E. Aldrich, "Mr. Emery was married in 1877 to Miss Ida E. Aldrich, a native of Illinois, and a daughter of Nelson and Hannah Aldrich, whose early home was near Worcester, Massachusetts. They now reside in New Jersey, at the age of seventy and seventy-two years, respectively. Their children were Sarah L., who died at the age of six years; Ida E., wife of our subject; Cora D., wife of William Frazier, whose home adjoins that of Mr. Emery in Marion; Lillie, who died at the age of twelve years; Edith, wife of John Gilligan, of New Jersey; Ina, at home with her parents; and Eva, wife of Ellis Farows. Mrs. Emery's paternal grandparents were Acel and Phebe Aldrich." The Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette Monday June 7, 1909 Pioneer Passed Away. Mrs. Anna P. Aldrich, who for the past two years has made her home in the city with her daughters, and who for thirty-six years prior had been a resident of Marion, died at 4 o'clock this morning at the age of 79 years. Mrs. Aldrich has been a sufferer from paralysis for some time the final stroke coming about two weeks ago that caused her death. She was born in Dudley, Mass., in the year 1830, and was married to Nelson Aldrich in 1854 at Thompson, Conn. To this union were born seven children, five of whom survive her: Mrs. J.A. Logston at whose home she died, Mrs. Charles W. Emery of Marion; Mrs. Cora Frazier of this city, Mrs. John W. Gilligan of Phillipsburg, N.J., and Mrs. Eva Farrows of Cedar Rapids. The funeral announcement will be made later.
