"Hannah Bishop was first married to John Billman (1834 -1863) on 9 Feb 1857. They had 3 children: Mary E. Billman (1858 - 1868), Henry Exline Billman (1860 -1935), and Sarah Billman (1862 - 1936). John died as the result of illness as he served in the Civil War, in 1863. Hannah then married William A. Crosse ( 1836 -?) on 13 Oct 1864. They had no children. She married Mr. Luing (1837 -?) in 1865. All marriages were in Marshall County, Iowa." Hannah Bishop met and married Mr Luing about 1865 in Marshall Co., Iowa.They had one known daughter, Ada Luing born June 1873. "According to Ada Luing's death record, she never married. It also gives her father's first name as Charles. Mr Luing was born about 1837 . One record states he was born in England, another just claims US. He evidently died between 1880 and 1900, with no other information about him. 1880 Census shows Hannah as married. 1900 Census shows her as a widow. Both Census records show Hannah living with her son Henry and his wife Emma Akeny Billman. The younger daughter, Ada Luing,went to live with her Uncle David G. Bishop and wife Mariah Filer Bishop in the Bangor area of Marshall Co., Iowa. Hannah and daughter Sarah Billman stayed together until Sarah married in 1879. Sarah A. Billman married Andrew A. Ankney in 1879 in Marshall Co., Iowa. Hannah Bishop Luing was living with them in 1900. The 1900 Census records show she had eight children and four were still living. The only known daughters alive in 1900 were, Ada Luing, and Sarah Billman . Mary E. Billman died in 1868. Her son Henry E. Billman, lived in the Hartland area of Marshall Co., Iowa. Hannah Bishop passed away 5 Feb 1904. Henry E. Billman died 24 June 1935. Sarah A. died 10 March 1936 and Andrew W. D. Ankney died 28 Oct 1945.
