McMillin, of Tekamah, near Craig, Nebraska, another descendant of one of the Clearfield county's pioneer families, which was among Lawrence township's first settlers. Mrs. McMullin's mother is said to have been the first white female child born in Clearfield county. Mrs. McMullin was one of a family of 17 children. Her father was Matthew Ogden, son of Daniel, son of Daniel, son of Richard, son of John Ogden, of Yorkshire, England. Mrs. McMullin was born in Clearfield, June 28, 1824. In 1864, when 40 years of age, she was suffering from ill health and moved to Nebraska. For 57 years she lived in Fontanelle vicinity where she was very active. For nine years she has been unable to walk and has moved about in her chair. Her memory is better on far past events than on present day affairs, which is usual with elderly people. Five generations including her only living son, A. O. McMullin, her great grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were present on this occasion. She has living 72 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Three of her children and four grandchildren have "passed on." CLEARFIELD PROGRESS, Clearfield, PA, December 22, 1924
