Description	:	Obituary from Salem Democrat 3 May 1909 "A sad and unusual occurrence took place in this neighborhood last week. A home was broken up within 24 hours. A husband and son left desolate by the death of his wife and his mother, both of whom were stricken with pneumonia and dying after a short illness. Josephine Tatlock was born Aug. 3, 1864. She married to Mr. A. J. Hill April 5, 1905. After a happy married life of 4 years, Josephine Hill died April 27, 1909, age 45 years, leaving her companion to morn the loss of a devote wife. Mrs. Hannah Brown Hill was born Feb 20, 1825; and died April 28, 1909, having reached the ripe old age of 84 years. She was married to Silas Hill when about 17 years of age, and was the mother of nine children, three of whom together with the father, have preceded her over the river of death. Six children are living. They are Sarah , Lizzie, Mike, Henry , A.J. (Andrew Jackson) and George, a prosperous farmer of Daviess county. Also, a step-son, Rev. John Hill , of Columbus, who was lately elected to the legislature from Bartholomew County, Mrs. Hannah Hill was a member of the Blue River Baptist Church, and was a good christian woman. Both bodies were conveyed to the Olive Branch Church by undertaker Callaway, April 29th, where Rev. Applegate delivered the funeral oration in the presence of a large gathering of sympathizing people and friends. After all was over the mother and wife were laid to rest in the cemetery at Olive Branch , in a grave prepared for each." The family tells that Hannah had a black dress and was laid in a white coffin. Josephine was in a white dress and laid in a black coffin.
