Description	:	Hannah E. Williams was born in Greenville, Tenn, on Sept 2, 1871, and passed away at her home in Oxford, Neb, on Jan 28, 1948, at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 26 days. In 1888 she was married to Andrew J. Mathews. To this union, 12 children were born, seven of whom survive her. They moved to New Market, Iowa in 1900 where they lived until 1913, when they moved to Ft Colllins, Colo. They lived there until they moved to Oxford, Neb, hoping it would improve Mr Mathew's health. Williams was born in Greenville, Tenn, on Sept 2, 1871, and passed away at her home in Oxford, Neb, on Jan 28, 1948, at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 26 days. In 1888 she was married to Andrew J. Mathews. To this union, 12 children were born, seven of whom survive her. They moved to New Market, Iowa in 1900 where they lived until 1913, when they moved to Ft Colllins, Colo. They lived there until they moved to Oxford, Neb, hoping it would improve Mr Mathew's health. He passed away in 1922. She was married to Mr Walter Shepherd of Holdredge, Neb May 29, 1925. He preceded her in death on Feb 5, 1938. She joined the church in her early marriage. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Oxford. She leaves seven children, Mrs Emma Dunn, Clarinda, Tom Mathews and Mrs Maude Jensen, Ft Collins; Mrs Dorothy Bloom, Berkeley, Calif; Mrs Dicie Scroggs, Clarinda; Ray Mathews, Ft Collins; one stepson, Rev Floyd Shepherd, Danville, Iowa; 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs Mollie Andrews, Wellington, Colo, five brothers; Andrew and Dave Williams of Omaha; Sam Williams, Wellington, Colo, Alex and Jake Williams, Rockwall, Tex. Funeral services were conducted by Rev Merel R. Burress at the First Baptist church in Oxford, Jan 31, after which the body was taken to Clarinda, where brief services were conducted at the Walker Funeral Home, Sunday, Feb 1 by Rev Mrs T. Fessler of the Rose Hill church with interment at Memory cemetery near New Market. Pallbearers were Wendell Meyer, Jay Clark, Lloyd Compton, James Severns, Harold and Leonard Scroggs.
