Centerville Daily Iowegian And Citizen, Centerville, Iowa, September 9, 1949 page 2 Emma Streepy Victim of Fall Mrs. Emma Streepy, who was the widow of the late Isaac Streepy, Civil War veteran and the man for whom Streepyville, southwest of Centerville, was named, died at Marshalltown last evening. Her death occurred at the Soldiers home there and followed a fall in which she suffered a broken hip about a year ago. Mrs. Streepy's body is being returned to this city for funeral and burial. She was the second wife of Isaac and had no children. However, local relatives by marriage include children of Isaac, who are: Mrs. Ada Smith, now living in Washington, Ia.; Charles Streepy, of Centerville; Mrs. Alvian Bartlett and Herbert Streepy, also of this community. Grandsons are Claude, Ted, Curtis and Isaac. A brother of the deceased, Henry Rubey, of Dayton, Ohio, is en-route here to make funeral and burial arrangements.
