Description	:	Mr. Forman W. Morton passed peacefully away at his home in New Germany, January 7th. The deceased had been ill for several years and had been cared for with untiring devotion by his wife Hannah M., who also passed to rest January 21, just two weeks from the day on which her husband died. She had fractured her hip three days before the death of her husband. Read More	Mr. Forman W. Morton passed peacefully away at his home in New Germany, January 7th. The deceased had been ill for several years and had been cared for with untiring devotion by his wife Hannah M., who also passed to rest January 21, just two weeks from the day on which her husband died. She had fractured her hip three days before the death of her husband. The entire family of eight children were home for the funeral of their father, and the daughters remained to comfort the last days of their mother with loving attention. While actively engaged in business, Mr. Morton was a tanner, having a successful tannery for many years in New Germany. Nova Scotia leather dealers will remember doing business with his firm. He was born in 1842, the son of Joseph Morton, a United Empire Loyalist, who came to this country from Portland, Maine. Mrs. Morton was the daughter of George Young, one of the earliest settlers in New Germany, coming from the Annapolis Valley. This highly respected couple leave to mourn the loss of father and mother, five daughters; Mrs. Phronie Chesley and Mrs. H.S. Barss, of New Germany; Mrs. H.B. Lantz of Worcester, Mass.; Mrs. P.W. McDermott, of Windsor, Vermont; Mrs. F.W. Settle, of Dartmouth; also three sons, Heustin S. and Fred W., of New Germany, and James, residing at Halifax.
