She married Jacob Hoon on 18 DEC 1846 in Hardin County, Ohio. They were the parents of Anna, Mary, William, Robert, Catherine, Caroline, Maria, Allen, Emma, and Hattie. The Anamosa Eureka - Thursday , April 29th, 1915 - The remains of Mrs. Hannah Hoon, who died at Washta, Iowa, a year ago the 23rd of this month, were brought to Jones county for re-burial yesterday. Mrs. Hoon was 93 years, three months and two days old at the time of her death. Following her death interment was had in the cemetery at Washta. The removal of the remains thus permitted burial beside those of her husband and a son in the cemetery at Cass Center. Mrs. Hoon was formerly a resident of Cass township, and at the time of her death was the owner of 40 acres of land located in that township. She was an aunt of Messrs. Chas. and George Preston. The remains were accompanied here by her son, Robert Hoon, of Washta.
