Mrs. Stafford, who had many friends throughout this territory, was laid to rest Tuesday afternoon after services held at the home. Hannah Stafford was born in Lestershire, England on a farm. She was born February 9, 1855. She moved with her parents in 1860 to Birmingham, England. In 1865 she came to America with the family and settled in Jones county, where she resided for 10 years. In 1875 she moved to Lamoni where the rest of her days were spent. On the 19th day of October 1875, she was united in marriage to W. H. Stafford. Her family went through all the early hardships of the pioneers, and was a very interesting lady to visit with. Her many friends will be sorry to hear of her passing.
