Description	:	Hannah was the daughter of John and Sarah Williams. On 2 Jan 1868 Hannah married a widower, Jacob Probasco, whose first wife Jane Colley died in 1866. After Jacob died on 5 Aug 1869, Hannah inherited much of his property. In the 1870 census Hannah is living alone, likely on the Probasco farm. On 2 Jan 1868 Hannah married a widower, Jacob Probasco, whose first wife Jane Colley died in 1866. After Jacob died on 5 Aug 1869, Hannah inherited much of his property. In the 1870 census Hannah is living alone, likely on the Probasco farm. She has a significant amount of money and property, likely from the Probasco estate. Hannah had a son in 1854, Hymen O. Williams, who as far as is known was her only child. Hannah married the widower James Sigman on 13 Jun 1872. His first wife, Ruth Ann Lucas, died in 1865, and his second wife, Martha Jane Spaid, seems to have died in 1870 or 1871, as she is in the 1870 census. James and Hannah had a long marriage. After James died in 1900, Hannah inherited the Sigman farm, where she lived until her death on 18 Aug 1906. The Cambridge Jeffersonian says Hannah, "a well-respected old lady," died at the home of her son, who the article doesn't name, but Hymen was her only child. The Sigman farm was sold in October of that same year. It would make very little sense for Hannah to be buried anywhere except with her husband James in Byesville, so I am creating her memorial here. Clearly Hannah paid for James' headstone in 1900, adding his first wife Ruth to the stone and, in my opinion, leaving room for her own name under James' name, but hers was never added. The headstone had a space for her name; clearly she intended to be buried with James. So Hannah's grave is most likely unmarked, but is almost certainly with James. Hymen Williams died in 1920 and is buried in City Cemetery. On his death certificate, his father is listed as unknown and his mother is listed as Hannah Sigman. That is the only record I am aware of that firmly links Hannah to Hymen. In the 1860 census, Hymen is six years old and is living with Hannah and her parents John and Sarah. Sarah is too old to have been Hymen's mother.
