Description	:	Harlan E. Kring, 79, of Axtell, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Bethany Home in Minden, NE. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. The Rev. Matt Snell will officiate. Kring was born May 18, 1936 in Omaha, Nebraska to Raymond and Ruth (Keech) Kring. He grew up in the Axtell area and was a 1954 graduate of Kearney High School. On May 17, 1956, Harlan was united in marriage to Marie L. Hibberd in Axtell, NE. Harlan entered into the U.S. Navy in 1956 and was stationed in the Pacific. He was honorably discharged in 1960. The couple made their home in the Axtell area where Harlan farmed until his retirement. Harlan was a longtime member of the Eagle’s Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing and attending auctions in his spare time. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Douglas (Lisa) Kring of Minden, Michael (Jayne) Kring of Axtell and Rodney Kring of Axtell; grandchildren, Jarvis (Claire) Kring, Carsen (Hannah) Kring, Brodie Kring and girlfriend, Amy Weaver, Preslee Kring, Robert (Kaile) Kring, Julie (Joey) Supanchick, Marcus Kring, Kyauna Kring, Janessa Kring and Mackenzi Kring; great grandchildren, Madeline, Byron, Eiponine, Zaylee, Huxlee, Aubree and Braylee. Harlan was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Sharon Remmenga and grandson, Cameron and granddaughter, Jalissa.
