Description	:	The body of Harlan Zoet, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zoet of rural Hull, was recovered early Friday morning from the Sandy Hollow swimming area 3 miles east of Sioux Center. The youth had gone swimming there with members of the RCYF of the First Reformed Church of Hull Thursday evening. It was not noticed that he was missing from the group, and they went home without him. Read More	The body of Harlan Zoet, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zoet of rural Hull, was recovered early Friday morning from the Sandy Hollow swimming area 3 miles east of Sioux Center. The youth had gone swimming there with members of the RCYF of the First Reformed Church of Hull Thursday evening. It was not noticed that he was missing from the group, and they went home without him. The other members of the group had all left the pool by 8:30 p.m. He was not missed until about midnight when he did not return home and when his family started looking for him. An investigation was begun, and the boy's clothes were found in the bath house. A search was conducted throughout the night. The body was found at about 7 a.m. Friday about eight feet from the raft in twelve feet of water. Funeral services for Harlan were held Monday, July 25, at the First Reformed Church of Hull, the Rev. David C. Ter Beest officiating. Funeral arrangements were by Kraai funeral home, and interment was at Hope Cemetery, Hull. Harlan Glenn Zoet, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zoet, was born May 4th, 1951, at Hull, Iowa. Harlan graduated from the Hull Christian Grade School in 1965 and would have re-entered the Boyden-Hull Community High School as a Sophomore this fall. He was a baptized member of the First Reformed Church, Hull, Iowa, and actively participated in the life of the church. Two of his major interests which emphasized his participation in church and school life were sports and music. Music played a very important role in his life, and one of the ways he expressed this was through his membership in a double quartet at school this past year. At the funeral service members of this group gave testimony to their love of God and our Savior by singing the hymn, "He Leadeth Me." -Obituary from The Sioux County Index (7/28/1966)
