Harley Fick Meyers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Meyers, was born November 7, 1929, at Des Moines, and passed away March 22, 1961, at the National Jewish Hospital In Denver, Colo., at the age of 31. Harley lived most of his life in the Coon Rapids vicinity and attended the Coon Rapids public school. At the age of 17 he enlisted In the U. S. army for three years. Thirty months of this was served in Korea and Japan. After his discharge, he was employed with Booth & Olson Construction Co. March 26, 1954, Harley entered the V. A. Hospital at Madison, Wise, as a tuberculosis patient. June 30, 1960, he transferred from Madison to the National Jewish Hospital in Denver where he was a patient until his death. A few weeks previous he contacted hepatitis, which took his life. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Meyers of Coon Rapids; two sisters, Violet Mae of Des Moines and Jean of Coon Rapids; one brother, Richard of Coon Rapids; two grandmothers, Mrs. Mary Fick of Coon Rapids and Mrs. Dora Meyers of Harlan. Out-of- town relatives and friends attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fick, Mr. and Mrs. Olile Scheaffer. Mrs. Linus Feld, Misses Norma Truhe, Rosie Truhe and Terry Shirk, Carroll; Mr. and Mrs. Don Wiederin.
